Four iPod Scripts X

These five scripts work nicely together, OS X only:

Random Albums to iPod deletes any songs and playlists on your iPod, selects albums at random from the iTunes Library and adds every song on those albums to your iPod until it is full.

Random Artist to iPod deletes any songs and playlists on your iPod, selects artists at random from the iTunes Library and adds every song by those artists to your iPod until it is full.

Random iPod deletes any songs and playlists on your iPod, selects tracks at random from the iTunes Library and adds then to your iPod until it is full.

Random Playlist Tracks to iPod deletes any songs and playlists on your iPod, selects tracks at random from the a playlist you've selected and adds songs to your iPod until it is full.

Clean iPod
deletes all songs and playlists from the iPod.

Copy Smart Playlist to iPod

Copy the tracks of the selected iTunes Smart Playlist to their own segregated playlist on iPod. On subsequent runs, when the same iTunes Smart Playlist is selected, the corresponding iPod playlist will be deleted and then re-created. No tracks will be added to iPod's main library. Strangely, when tracks are copied this way (unlike with drag-and-drop or automatic updating), they do not populate iPod's main library, thus reducing the chance of disturbing tracks in other iPod playlists when they are deleted.
• Your iPod must be set to "manually manage songs and playlists".

This takes any (long) playlist in iTunes, breaks it into equally timed playlists and creates these playlists on your iPod (which also means the files are copied to your iPod if they aren't already there.)

- Make 45 minute playlists for 45 minute exercise periods. Listen to a new playlist each day.
